Report a bug
Bugs and ideas go to the public issue tracker on the website: trs-launcher.theredstonee.de/issues. Anyone can read it; to write, vote or comment you sign in. The roadmap shows what is planned, in progress and done.
Look first
Someone may have reported it already. Search the issue list – #57 finds issue number 57. If you find your problem,
vote it up and add what's new in a comment instead of opening a second issue.
Report on the website
Sign in
Open trs-launcher.theredstonee.de/issues and sign in with Microsoft, or with the TRS Launcher.
Open a new issue
Choose the type (bug or feature) and the area (launcher, client or website).
Describe it
Give it a short, precise title (5 to 120 characters) and describe what happened. You can attach up to six images.
Report from the game
For bugs in the TRS Client, report right from the game – the client can attach the technical details for you.
Open the report page
Open the TRS menu with Right Shift and choose Report bug.
Write title and description
What did you do, what happened, what did you expect instead?
Choose attachments
The TRS Client version, Minecraft version and loader, and your mod list are ticked by default. A log excerpt and a screenshot are only sent if you tick them. Take a new one lets you press F2 for a fresh screenshot – your text stays.
Check the preview and send
The preview shows exactly what goes out and how many personal details were removed from the log. Press Send now. You get the issue number and can open it in the browser.
What to include
A good report can be reproduced. Include:
- Steps: what you did, step by step, what happened, what you expected.
- Versions: TRS Launcher version, TRS Client version, Minecraft version and mod loader, Windows or Linux distribution.
- The log: use Share log in the launcher and paste the link (see Logs). For crashes, a crash report is best.
- Mods: your mod list, if mods are involved.
- A screenshot or a short clip, if you can see the problem.
Who sees what
Title, description, images, versions and the mod list are public on the website, with your Minecraft name as author. A log excerpt sent from the game is only visible to you and the TRS team.
After reporting
You automatically follow issues you open or comment on. With the TRS services on, the launcher shows a notification when the status changes, the team answers, a fix ships ("fixed in") or the issue is merged into another one – with a View button that opens it in your browser.
